Real water hygiene, anywhere.
In 2022, we repurposed a garden sprayer to prove a concept: high pressure, no batteries.
It was ugly. It was bulky. But it worked.
We knew the idea was right. But the design had to be completely overhauled.
We failed 10 times before succeeding on the 11th try. From the bulky V1 to the streamlined V11.
The V11 is designed for the real world. Compact, powerful, and built to handle any mess, anywhere, without a battery and without breaking down.
Once we had the right prototype in hand, we headed to China. At the Canton Fair in Guangzhou, we found an industrial partner in Guangdong that specializes in portable showers. Their manufacturing expertise combined with our electronics-free mechanical design, it was a perfect match. The V11 isn’t a student prototype; it’s a product designed to be manufactured.
In November 2025 in London, Portalo won first prize in the global CoCreate Pitch competition, beating out 30,000 projects and receiving recognition from Everette Taylor (CEO of Kickstarter), Éric Larchevêque (co-founder of Ledger), and Rio Ferdinand. This recognition was subsequently featured on Franceinfo.
