Stay Clean.
Anywhere.

The Problem

In travel, at work, or on the road...
there's one thing people sacrifice far too often:
hygiene.

Improvised hygiene while traveling

40% of festival-goers go three days without washing.
Campers can spend up to nine days without a real shower.
Truck drivers average one per week.
Healthcare and outdoor workers face long shifts with no proper facilities.
Students in remote areas and families in crisis zones struggle with the same : access to water for basic hygiene.

The problem isn’t water scarcity. It’s that access to it no longer fits human life.

Our infrastructures were built for stillness.
At work, on the road, or outdoors, hygiene becomes a logistical challenge.
So people improvise: bottles, wipes, gels... None of which truly replace water.

This gap between mobility and hygiene has become normal.
And that’s exactly why it’s a problem.

Next: How PORTALO was born

The Birth of PORTALO

A compact, pressure-based hygiene system built around simplicity. Designed for everyone, everywhere.

After 11 prototypes and 3 years of development, PORTALO was engineered to bring true mobility, with zero electricity and 95% less water.

Development sketches and early parts

The Design

A flexible hose that hides inside.
A rotating nozzle that adapts to every angle.
No electricity. No waste. Just pure water, anywhere.

Deploy.
Fill.
Pump.
Spray.

PORTALO assembled design

Compact, reliable and fully mechanical. Inspired by timeless principles of efficiency.

Milestones

From a sketch on paper to a patent-backed, factory-validated product.

PORTALO prototype and patent draft

🧠 Patent filed - France (2025)
The PORTALO system is now protected by a provisional patent covering its pressurization mechanism, retractable hose, and multi-angle nozzle design.

Visit to the partner factory in Guangzhou with Sino Sourcing team

🇨🇳 Industrial Validation in China
In early 2025, I traveled to Guangzhou to meet the Sino Sourcing team and the engineers of our partner factory. Together, we reviewed the CAD models, verified tolerances, and discussed mold feasibility. The factory team provided direct feedback on wall thickness, sealing geometry, and assembly flow, confirming the design's readiness for injection molding and large-scale production.

Interview with Sino Sourcing in Guangzhou, sharing the industrialization journey of PORTALO.

PORTALO awards and recognitions at ESIEE Paris

🏆 Awards & Recognition
In 2024 and 2025, PORTALO won three university awards for innovation and entrepreneurship at ESIEE Paris, organized by Pépite 3EF and the Île-de-France Regional Council. These prizes recognized PORTALO as one of the most promising low-tech projects combining design, sustainability, and everyday usefulness.

In November 2025, we plan to bring the project at Alibaba CoCreate Pitch, an international competition highlighting breakthrough ideas developed between Europe and Asia.

Each recognition reflects the same mission to make hygiene accessible, efficient, and sustainable for everyone.

Roadmap

The journey from concept to launch.

PORTALO development roadmap from 2022 to 2026

From first sketches in 2022 to industrial validation, patent filing, and the upcoming crowdfunding campaign in 2026.

Every step, from prototyping to patent to production, was self-funded and executed with a single goal: to make hygiene accessible, efficient, and sustainable for everyone.
